González Urrutia held a meeting with more organizations that offered their support

Edmundo González Urrutia, presidential candidate for the Unitary Platform, reported that he held a meeting with representatives of several political organizations who expressed their support for him in view of the elections on July 28.

In a post on his social media, González Urrutia indicated that the UPP 89, Fuerza Liberal and Centro Democrático parties decided to express their support for the Unitary Platform’s candidacy.

“Every day we are more! We strengthen our Great National Alliance, now with the participation of the parties: UPP 89, Fuerza Liberal and Centro Democrático. Every day of organization brings us closer to victory to achieve the transition to democracy,” he wrote in X.

Parties such as MAS, Union and Progress, Puente, Renewal Democracy, Emerging People, Move, Ecological Movement, Republican Movement, NOE, Nuvipa, Parlinve, National Unity, URD, Popular Vanguard, among others, have taken the initiative to support González Urrutia.

This announcement comes after the governor of Zulia state, Manuel Rosales, and González Urrutia held a broad working meeting on Thursday, May 9 in Caracas to discuss the efforts made for the electoral route and unity.

Regarding this meeting, Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) explained that the initial dialogue focused on their respective careers, then both leaders discussed a plan for the electoral campaign with a view to the presidential elections on July 28 and agreed that Venezuela needs to approach these elections in a peaceful manner, with clear goals, in accordance with the government program unanimously agreed upon by the PUD.

In X, Rosales said that the meeting was pleasant and productive: “We are united by the desire to make possible the reunion between Venezuelans and to begin a profound reconstruction of the country.”
