This Thursday, the opposition candidate for the presidential elections of July 28thEdmundo González Urrutia, together with the leader of Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado, signed an agreement with the 10 organizations that are part of the Democratic Unitary Platform, which It is structured in seven principles for the transformation of democracy in the country.
The event held in Caracas aimed at fulfilling the freedom, unity, consensus, civility, rule of law, reunion and sense of urgency as a guide to a better political and social climate.
“The electoral victory of July 28 will open the doors to a period of democratization that will demand personal and civic virtues. We will try to forge an emotional, political and social climate that facilitates this and contributes to the common good.”reads part of the text signed this Thursday by the participants in the meeting.
On González Urrutia’s side, it was stated that on July 28 it will be demonstrated, under the vote of millions of Venezuelans, that seeks a change in the political leadership of Venezuela.
“Don’t let the message of hate scare you. We are not here to persecute anyone, we are not here to throw anyone out, they say that because they are scared. They will show their courage this Sunday, because something they must not forget is that the vote is secret.”said.
Nonetheless, Machado He recalled that the country Venezuela is just hours away from taking an important step towards national order and stabilityl: “We are ready to win and collect. It will be the end of a cycle of misery to begin a period of prosperity and well-being”.
