Monaco lost to the club of the second division Rodez in the 1/32 finals of the French Cup.

Monaco went 2-0 up with goals from Manes Aklios (23rd) and Wissam Ben Yedder (37), but then conceded two goals and lost 4-5 on penalties.

Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin came on as a substitute in the 61st minute.

The Russian took the fifth shot in the penalty shoot-out at 4:3 and might have brought victory to his team, but did not score. Also, Golovin’s teammate Sungutu Magassa might not realize his attempt, and the Rodez players both times shot right into the goal.
