GoldenEye 007 HD remaster could be announced on Xbox very soon

If there is indeed an FPS that marked its era, it is GoldenEye 007. Developed by Rare and released in 1997 on the Nintendo 64, this shooter offered top-notch gameplay, graphics and AI for its time. Of recent rumors echoed a return of this legend to Xbox, which seems to be confirmed. It’s on his official podcastwhich Jeff Grubb announced that according to his sources, GoldenEye 007 remaster HD should be unveiled”in the next few weeks, probably by Microsoft itself and for a later release.”

With the 60th anniversary of the franchise in 2022, James Bond would offer the greatest gift to players. Because GoldenEye 007 never really disappeared from circulation, with many speedrunners having targeted it. Because each level allows you to play at your own pace, crossing them in a few minutes, even a few seconds. Although a HD version was planned in 2007 on Xbox 360, copyright concerns prevented its publication. A legal problem that might perhaps have found a solution…
