No salary cap or guaranteed amount required
According to the official website, a regular expatriate employee can sponsor a parent for a period of one year by paying a deposit amount as a guarantee for each parent as prescribed by the respective Immigration Department. Only those with a minimum monthly salary of Dh20,000 are also allowed to sponsor parents. But these terms are not applicable to Golden Visa holders. There is no need for them to provide the amount as guarantee. All they have to do is submit a document issued by their respective consulates showing that they are the sole guardians of the parents.
Expanded plan with more benefits
The revised residency and visit visa system in the UAE came into effect from October 3. This introduced new residency visas and entry permits and simplified existing visa procedures. An expanded Golden Visa scheme is also being implemented as part of these reforms. Khaleej Times reported that under this scheme, more categories will have the opportunity to get 10-year visas. According to the new modification, for Golden Visa holders, staying outside the UAE for more than six months will not affect the validity of their residency. Likewise, Golden Visa holders can sponsor children regardless of age. There is also no limit to the number of support staff they can sponsor.
The salary limit of professionals has been reduced
The UAE is currently developing and implementing a long-term residency scheme for professionals who have proven expertise in various fields. The minimum monthly salary for them to get a visa under their own sponsorship has been reduced from Dh50,000 to Dh30,000 as part of the new reform. This is an opportunity for more professionals to come to UAE under their own sponsorship. Professionals from the fields of medicine, science, engineering, information technology, business and administration, education, law, culture and social sciences will be benefited under the scheme. Applicants must have a valid employment contract in the UAE. And should be in the first or second occupation category as per the profession list of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
