Comedian Nikki Glaser has been open about her relationship with Chris Convy, but their love story is anything but typical.
A Long Road to Love
Their journey began back in 2013 on the set of Glaser’s MTV show, nikki & Sara Live. Nikki Glaser: (Laughs) Oh, I’m well aware of the pressure. But I think the key is to stay true to myself. I’m not trying to be Jo Koy or anyone else. I’m just going to do what I do best—make people laugh and keep things light. Plus, I’ve got some great writers working with me, so I’m confident we’ll have a good mix of humor and heart.
Archyde: Speaking of heart, your relationship with Chris Convy has been a topic of interest for fans. Can you tell us more about how your love story evolved?
Nikki glaser: Oh, Chris. (Smiles) It’s funny as our story really is like something out of a rom-com. We met back in 2013 when he was producing my MTV show, nikki & Sara Live. I had this huge crush on him, but he was wholly oblivious. I even thought he was a drinker as he was so outgoing, but turns out he doesn’t drink at all!
Archyde: That’s quite the twist! How did you two finally get together?
Nikki Glaser: It took a while. We were friends for years before anything romantic happened. I think that foundation of friendship really helped us build something strong. He’s my biggest supporter, and I’m so grateful to have him in my life.
Archyde: That’s beautiful.Now, back to the Golden Globes—what can viewers expect from your hosting style?
Nikki Glaser: I’m planning to bring a lot of energy and authenticity. I want to celebrate the nominees and the amazing work they’ve done, but I also want to have fun with it. There will definitely be some playful jabs and maybe a few surprises. I’m not afraid to poke fun at myself, either.
Archyde: Any predictions for who might take home the big awards tonight?
Nikki Glaser: Oh, I’m terrible at predictions! (Laughs) But I’m rooting for Emilia Pérez—it’s such a brilliant film. And of course, The Bear has been killing it in the TV categories. But honestly, I’m just excited to see all the talent in one room. It’s going to be a magical night.
