In 2005 the Spar supermarket in Aurolzmünster was reopened. Last year the branch was taken over by 33-year-old Daniela Holzapfel. “I took over a well-run branch from my colleague and was welcomed by a competent team. Together we got off to a great start, used the momentum and secured the ‘Golden Fir’ victory with a great team effort,” says the store manager. In order to receive this award, the respective Spar location must meet the evaluation criteria of a jury. The development of the fresh food departments – the delicatessen as well as the fruit and vegetable departments – also plays a role in the evaluation, as does the reduction in spoiled goods or low fluctuation. The Spar market in Aurolzmünster was able to convince in all points and can therefore call itself the winner of the Golden Tanne. The award ceremony took place as part of the Spar branch conference in the Design Center in Linz. Market manager Daniela Holzapfel accepted the trophy on behalf of her 29-person team with her deputy Heidemarie Wiplinger.
