Golden eye looking for new worlds!!

With so many mysterious planets outside our solar system, scientists are now shifting their focus from discovery to characterizing and understanding what they are made of and what conditions might be on their surfaces if they were rocky?

The James Webb Space Telescope, with its golden mirror, is very sensitive. It operates in infrared light, which is where planets emit most of their light. The Webb telescope has captured data on nearly two dozen different planetary systems, breaking records and challenging theories in the process, so let’s dive into Some of the notable systems that Webb has studied so far:
