It seems that the future of the young Norwegian, Erling Haaland, is beginning to take shape in Barcelona, despite the rumors regarding the possibility of him being transferred to Manchester City or Real Madrid.
And the newspaper “Esportio” revealed that Barca coach Xavi Hernandez, and Jordi Cruyff, advisor to Joan Laporta, the Catalan club president, preceded all other competitors, and went to Munich to meet Halland, where he is being treated for the injury that kept him from playing for weeks with Borussia. Dortmund, in order to convince him of the idea of playing for “Barcelona”.

The visit gave them the opportunity to explain the sports project that Barcelona hopes to implement, starting next season, in which the “golden boy” will be its new front, as the first spearhead in the team, even in the presence of Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The newspaper said that the Barcelona administration is fully convinced that Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund player, can play this role to the fullest.
The penalty clause in Haaland’s contract is 75 million euros, which may be reduced to 70 million euros during the next summer transfer market, an amount that the Barcelona administration knows well and can manage.
The belief that Halland is closer to Barcelona than others is reinforced by the fact that Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, is pushing him to accept the contract with “Barcelona”, because he is convinced that the “Catalan” club is the best for his client.

Barcelona proposes to Halland a salary of 195 million euros, distributed over 5 seasons, at 20 million euros for the first year, 30 million for the second, 40 million for the third, 50 million for the fourth, and 55 million euros for the fifth year.
And since Borussia Dortmund will get 75 million euros, stipulated in the player’s contract, this means that the total deal amounts to 270 million, but Mino Raiola proposed a contract of only three years, with an option to extend it for an additional two years.
Surprisingly, Jordi Cruyff denied his travel to Munich with Xavi, and said that he was in London with Mathieu Alemani, the sporting director of “Barca”, in order to finalize the last details in the deal of Danish defender Andreas Christensen, a Chelsea player.
