Gold prices rose in Egypt by regarding 30 pounds, following a series of declines, during which the price of a gram of 21 karat gold fell to 2215 pounds.
Customs ports witnessed the entry of more than 306 kilograms of gold, accompanied by passengers coming from abroad, from May 11 to June 22, following implementing the Prime Minister’s decision to exempt from customs tax and other fees except value-added, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The Minister of Finance said that the entry of this amount of gold reflects the willingness of residents abroad to benefit from these facilities related to the gold brought with them.
Today, Sunday, gold prices in Egypt recorded 2240 pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to 2215 pounds at the start of yesterday’s trading.
