Gold prices rose today in Lebanon, Thursday, February 17, 2022, coinciding with the rise of the precious metal globally.

And the price of a gram of 24-carat gold in Lebanon increased today, to regarding 92.206 thousand pounds ($ 60.01).

The price of a gram of 21 karat gold in Lebanon (the most traded in the market) also rose to regarding 80,682 thousand pounds ($53.39).

And the price of a gram of 18 karat gold in Lebanon amounted to regarding 69,156 thousand pounds ($ 45.76).

Regarding economic gold prices in Lebanon today, the price of a gram of 14-karat gold rose to regarding 53,787 thousand pounds ($35.59).

The price of an ounce and a pound of gold today in Lebanon

The price of an ounce of gold today in Lebanon rose to regarding 2.867 million pounds (1898 dollars).

The price of the gold pound also rose, to regarding 645.458 thousand pounds (427.10 dollars).

Gold prices today globally

Gold prices rose in trading on Thursday, following news of the return of tensions between Russia and Ukraine, following a Russian report that mortar shells were fired in eastern Ukraine, prompting investors to resort to safe assets.

Gold prices ended their trading, yesterday, Wednesday, with a rise of regarding 15 dollars, with the decline of the dollar and US stocks.

Today, the price of gold futures contracts – for delivery in April – rose by 0.78%; equivalent to $14.60, to reach the level of $1886.10 an ounce.

The spot price for the yellow metal also rose by 0.88%, to reach $1886.23 an ounce.

At the same time, the price of silver futures contracts – for March delivery – increased by 0.34%, recording $23.74 an ounce.

The spot platinum price also rose by 1.06% at $1076.71 an ounce, while the spot palladium price rose by 2.79%, to record the level of $2,349.83 an ounce.
