It rose in the local markets, during today’s trading, Saturday 5-3-2022, with a rise in ounce By 4% at the end of the week’s trading on the global stock exchange, to reach $1974.

It rose to the highest level since September 2020, due to the geopolitical tensions that the world is witnessing as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which increased investor demand for gold as a safe haven, in light of severe US sanctions on the Russian economy that caused a rise.

Eng. Lotfi Munib, Vice President of the Gold and Jewelery Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices rose by 7 pounds, during today’s trading, with the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, to record 21 karat at the level of 867 pounds.

Munib added that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded a level of 991 pounds, and 18 karat recorded a level of 744 pounds, and the price of the gold pound reached 6936 pounds.
