The city of Goiânia hosted, on May 25th and 26th, the 137th Meeting of the Technical Directors Forum and the 38th Meeting of Technical Managers of ABEP-TIC Associates – Brazilian Association of State and Public Entities of Information and Communication Technology. The meeting fostered debate on various topics related to technological innovation with a focus on the citizen and also had the participation of private companies in the segment, which presented numerous solutions that can be implemented both in the states and in the Federal Government.

The meetings, which make up the official agenda of the Association, were conducted by Roberto Tostes, president of the Information Technology Company of Minas Gerais (PRODEMGE-MG) and vice president of technology at ABEP-TIC. According to him, the event addressed several topics relevant to Brazilian technological development.

“The presentation by GTD.Gov (Grupo de Transformação Digital dos Estados e do DF) brought a series of approaches, such as cybersecurity, highlighted even by the suppliers present, which demonstrates that everyone is understanding the importance of this subject. We also had the presence of Serpro (Federal Data Processing Service), showing how the Prods (state ICT public companies) can get closer to Serpro to serve the citizen, at the federal, state and municipal level”, detailed Roberto .

Willian Ferreira, from the Undersecretary of Information Technology of the State of Goiás, also highlighted the themes of the event. “An important moment, which brought relevant technical discussions at a national level, such as the contracting of the Public Cloud. These minutes arose from a need of several Prods that intend to migrate some services to the cloud. This was done collaboratively, with everyone having the opportunity to participate and add up is very good, as we get better prices and better conditions for adhesions”, explained Willian.

On the occasion, Vânia Bareicha, GTD.Gov coordinator for Consad (National Council of State Secretaries of Administration), presented the advances and challenges of the network that has more than 1200 ICT specialists from all over the country. “I am very proud to say that we are making a revolution and in fact supporting the construction of digital governments in the states. Our dream is to evolve our platform into an interactive environment in which we can connect all players in Brazil’s digital transformation ecosystem and where we can share information from states and municipalities”, she said. On the occasion, Vânia formally invited directors and technical managers to participate in Consad Express, an event to be held in Manaus (AM), on June 15th and 16th, with the theme “Sustainability and Innovation in the Brazilian Public Management Agenda” .

According to her, all the investment that Brazil has made in technology has been reflected in the delivery of value to the population. “I think Brazil has stood out. So true that today we are the second country in digital transformation in the world. We have had a very rich experience, including with several other countries”, she pointed out.

ABEP took the opportunity to advance in internal matters that involve the participation of state representatives, such as definitions regarding the contracting of services, the sharing of partnership ideas between the Associates and the progress of the entity’s Working Groups.
