Godzilla thanks for the Oscar. The network went crazy after the historic award for Minus One

The 2024 Oscars are behind us – but the echoes of yesterday’s gala are still there on the Internet. One of the most important moments of the ceremony was the awarding of the award for the best special effects, which ultimately went to the creators of the Japanese hit Godzilla Minus One. This is a historic distinction for many reasons: the first for the entire franchise, the first in this category for the Land of the Rising Sun and the second time when the statuette for special effects was given to the director of a given production, in this case Takashi Yamazaki (the first was the legendary Stanley Kubrick for 2001: A Space Odyssey).

It’s not really surprising that Internet users went crazy about the Oscar for King of the Monsters. Website X is full of videos and photos that show, among others: the moment of awarding the award, the presence of a miniature version of the monster at the gala itself and, finally, the already extremely popular video in which Godzilla thanked for the laurels awarded by the Academy.
