GODSMACK “Lighting Up The Sky”

On the sidelines of Seattle’s inalienable Big Four (NIRVANA, ALICE IN CHAINS, PEARL JAM and SOUNDGARDEN), alternative metal – or alt-metal for fans of the genre – sublimated by the immaculate and more tamable cohort (TOOL, DISTURBED, GODSMACK and SHINEDOWN), glorifies his illustrious inspirations. This is how the so comforting return of the third flamboyant musketeer named, proudly points the tip of its glowing jewel.

Co-produced by singer/guitarist Sully Erna and Andrew Murdock (Alice Cooper, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, LINKIN PARK…), this swan song announced in the studio, reveals a concentrate of powerful catchy hits such as “You And I”, ” Surrender” and “Soul Of Fire”. Likewise, touched by so much intoxication at every second, we will remember the bewitching “Truth” with its heady chorus in piano/voice.

After a unique Casino de Paris unfortunately canceled last October, there will still be time for lucky vacationers leaving for Wisconsin in the United States next July to (re)discover them during the ceremonial Rockfest headlining alongside by PANTERA and SLIPKNOT following touring with I PREVAIL in May as well. The group wishing to privilege only concerts and tours in the future, you are certainly warned.

GODSMACK returns more permissive, addictive and enjoyable than before, lighting up the sky – as its title suggests – with its massive musical imprint, less than two months from the twentieth anniversary of its third platinum gem “Faceless” (2003) which was seen, upon its release, ranked number one for fifty-seven weeks in a row in the United States! You will sincerely understand the impact renewed by GODSMACK who, in all integrity, faithfully assumes his galvanized rank of figurehead, hoisted through an edgy “Lightning Up The Sky” and dedicated to timelessness…
