Because the fact is: After 1.5 years, under former Interior Minister Herbert Kickl, there were 25,000 asylum seekers and those entitled to asylum in basic care, today under Minister Gerhard Karner there are 4,000 fewer. That’s still a lot, but significantly less than under Kickl. We will therefore continue to consistently step on the asylum brake,” says the migration spokesman for the People’s Party, Ernst Gödl, referring to Kickl’s appearance in Leoben today.
