Go to the doctor immediately .. Two signs on your toenails indicate that you are at risk of the “silent killer”

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Experts said it is necessary to monitor the toes, as they may reveal the signs of a silent killer.

According to “The Sun”, there are two specific symptoms that may mean that you have high cholesterol, which is to notice that your toenails have become brittle or slow growing.

Experts pointed out that there is a hidden warning sign of high cholesterol that people think is “getting old,” noting that sometimes people have no idea they have this condition until they develop serious complications from a heart attack or stroke.

High levels can cause a condition called peripheral air disease (PAD) — where fatty deposits build up and clog arteries.

This can then cause marks in the toenails, where blood flow to the feet is restricted.

And your feet can give you more clues that you may have the fatal condition, not just the nails. Cramping in the feet and legs, numbness, or discoloration of the skin may indicate a serious problem.

Peripheral vascular disease can cause reduced hair growth on the legs, reddish or pale skin, non-healing cuts or ulcers on the legs and feet, thickened, opaque toenails, or numbness and heavy muscles.

In the more advanced stages, people may develop critical limb ischemia.

Severe blockage of blood in the lower extremities causes severe pain in the feet and toes, even when sitting without doing anything.
