As of March 15, Ecovias do Araguaia, responsible for managing 850.7 kilometers of the Anápolis-Aliança do Tocantins System (composed of BRs-153, 414 and 080), as a result of the technical cooperation agreement signed between the of Finance, Revenue, Economy, Finance or Taxation of the States and the Federal District and the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), will start charging the tariff for all axles, suspended or not, of vehicles that have the Electronic Document Manifest Fiscal (MDF-e) – electronic document that provides information on origin, destination and type of transported products -, open.
The measure, to be implemented in the nine toll plazas distributed along the stretch, is supported by Federal Law 13,103/2015 and ANTT resolution 4,898/2015. Previously, the concessionaire charged commercial vehicles with cargo, which circulated with suspended axles, only by visual means.
The User Service Manager at Ecovias do Araguaia, Marcelo Belão, says that the Manifesto is checked automatically, using smart cameras that read license plates. “As soon as the vehicle enters the cabin lane, the system already informs the collector of the existence or not of the open document. Therefore, it is very important that the responsible company or driver cancels the MDF-e when the cargo transport is finished”, he says.
The charge will not occur for vehicles with empty cargo or without an open manifest. These are exempt from the tariff on axles that do not touch the ground, as determined by law.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Users can pay fares in cash or with a debit and credit card of any brand in manual booths at all squares, in addition to the possibility of paying by approximation. The Visa Vale Toll and DBTrans modalities are also accepted.
On automatic routes, the driver can choose between the operators Sem Parar, ConectCar, Move Mais, Veloe and Greenpass.
