Local musician Gloria Attoun (Bauermeister) has unveiled her latest music video, titled “Everything Changes.” This visually stunning video showcases picturesque imagery from the region, prominently featuring the scenic Katy Trail, a beloved destination for both hikers and cyclists.
Gloria produced this innovative music video in collaboration with the newly released book, “Trails Across Missouri,” authored by Dan Burkhardt. The inspiration drawn from The Katy Trail is evident in the evocative lyrics of the song, which take listeners on a journey through the beauty of the local landscape. Dan and Connie Burkhardt, renowned local philanthropists and avid conservationists, are celebrated figures in the book, which pays tribute to the rich beauty and artistic expression found along The Katy Trail and the Rock Island hiking and biking trail.
“The music video ‘Everything Changes’ is about good change that can happen when we let it and when we have support,” Attoun Bauermeister reflects on the powerful message behind her work. She explains that while this music video is a fresh release, the song itself was penned a decade ago, during a time filled with uncertainty regarding the potential advantages of The Katy Trail and other trails formed from defunct railways across the nation.
This anthem serves as a celebration of community spirit and gratitude towards all those who have tirelessly contributed to our local areas and the broader state of Missouri. “These natural places bring beauty and physical and emotional benefits to the people who live here and the many who visit,” she adds. Furthermore, the song pays homage to numerous conservation organizations statewide, including the Missouri Stream Team, Missouri River Relief, and Magnificent Missouri, all committed to safeguarding our essential rivers, streams, and parks. “It was a labor of love and fun to put this song into a video with lots of fun and creative visual elements,” she describes, emphasizing her passion for the project.

**Interview with Gloria Attoun on Her Latest Music Video “Everything Changes”**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Gloria. Congratulations on the release of your new music video “Everything Changes.” Can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind the song and the video?
**Gloria Attoun:** Thank you for having me! The song “Everything Changes” is inspired by the ever-evolving beauty of nature, particularly the landscapes along the Katy Trail. As I wrote the lyrics, I wanted to evoke the sense of wonder and transformation that comes with exploring these beautiful trails. The music video is a visual extension of that — we captured stunning images of the region, showcasing its charm through the lens of nature’s beauty.
**Editor:** It’s fantastic to hear how local landmarks inspired you! I understand that you collaborated with Dan Burkhardt and his book “Trails Across Missouri.” How did that collaboration come about?
**Gloria Attoun:** Dan and I have a mutual appreciation for conservation and the arts, and when I learned about his book, I felt a strong connection to the theme of celebrating our local trails. The collaboration was a natural fit; we wanted to highlight the rich beauty of the Katy Trail and the impact it has on our community. The book and the music video complement each other beautifully, intertwining music and literature to celebrate our shared love for nature.
**Editor:** The Katy Trail holds a special place in the hearts of many in the community. How do you think your video, along with Dan’s book, can influence public awareness for conservation efforts in the area?
**Gloria Attoun:** I believe that art has the power to inspire action and foster appreciation. By combining visuals from the Katy Trail with evocative lyrics, I hope our work encourages people to spend more time outdoors and connect with nature. If we can make someone see the trail in a new light or inspire them to participate in conservation efforts, then we’ve succeeded in our mission.
**Editor:** That’s a wonderful goal. Lastly, what do you hope viewers take away from “Everything Changes”?
**Gloria Attoun:** I hope viewers feel a sense of connection—not only to the music and the imagery but also to the landscape and the heritage it represents. I want them to reflect on how change is a constant in life, just as the seasons change along the trail. Ultimately, it’s about finding beauty in those transitions and appreciating the moments we have.
**Editor:** Thank you, Gloria, for sharing your insights with us today. We look forward to seeing how ”Everything Changes” resonates with the community.
**Gloria Attoun:** Thank you so much for having me! I hope everyone enjoys the video and feels inspired to explore the beauty around them.
