The devastating fire that ripped thru Glodok Plaza on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, continues to be a focus of examination. As of Friday,January 24th,authorities are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
“We cannot speculate to determine or state the cause of an incident,” said West Jakarta police Chief Commissioner Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi during a press conference at Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
Clearing the fire site, which is heavily littered with debris, is currently a top priority for emergency personnel. Once the debris is cleared, officers will collaborate with the Forensic Laboratory Center to conduct a thorough crime scene investigation.
