Griffen (ots) – The Austrian company Glock ecotech recently successfully commissioned its first thermal power plant in Sweden. The system in Scandinavia is used on a farm near Nyköping, around 100 km south of Stockholm. As one of Europe’s top forest nations, Sweden offers optimal conditions for the use of this energy solution.
The Austrian company relies on the regionally available resource of biomass in the form of wood chips to operate its thermal power plants. Kathrin Glock, Managing Director of GLOCK ecotech GmbH, emphasizes: “Our systems offer a sustainable solution for stable energy production regardless of weather conditions and seasons. This technology is not only ecologically but also economically attractive and contributes to securing the energy supply in various areas of application. “
The innovative electric thermal power plants can be easily integrated into existing systems and offer a constant energy supply with around 8,000 operating hours per year. Reliable operational management is guaranteed by modern control technology. In addition, the sales partner AKEMA AB in Sweden ensures customer proximity and on-site support.
Tommy Andersson, Managing Director of AKEMA AB, also emphasizes: “The plant allows us to use the natural resource biomass, which is abundant in Sweden. By using such regional biomass sources, we can stabilize our energy costs in the long term and thereby become more independent of fossil fuels and energy suppliers.”
