Streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ compete for space in Brazilians’ wallets, however, data from a survey shows that Globoplay, Grupo Globo’s service, is the favorite among users, registering twice as many subscribers as the runner-up in the Bloomberg Línea Brasil ranking.
According to the survey, Globoplay has 30 million users in the country, while Netflix and Disney Plus have 15 million and 8 million subscribers, respectively, occupying the second and third position. Next comes HBO Max (4 million) and, in the flashlight, Amazon’s Prime Video, with only 2 million.

The survey considers not only the number of subscribers, that is, people who pay to use the service on a monthly basis, but also the number of free users. between programming, while rivals lack this benefit.
Kantar Ibope Media reveals that the greater number of users does not guarantee Grupo Globo audience dominance in the national streaming segment, which continues to be led by Netflix, which holds 4.8% of the total 6.5%. However, in this scenario, Globoplay still has the upper hand over Prime Video, registering an audience of 0.7% once morest 0.5%, in that order.
Globoplay’s most affordable plan costs just BRL 19.90 per month, while Netflix’s cheapest option can be found for BRL 18.90 with ads displayed during playback. Prime Video is the cheapest among all competitors, costing only BRL 14.90/month, also delivering other benefits to the subscriber.
