However, they all have to wait for the BRICS members to agree on the fundamental concept of the enlargement of the group. This is what the association does now.

Suklal stressed that the task of drawing up the principles, norms, criteria and rules for the enlargement of the BRICS was set in 2022 by the leaders of the group following their summit held under the Chinese presidency.
