this CAF World Giving Index is one of the largest fundraising surveys ever conducted, surveying millions of people around the world since 2009. This year’s index includes data from 142 countries, and people are asked three questions: whether they have helped a stranger, made a donation or volunteered for a good cause in the past month.

The 2024 CAF World Giving Index also shows:

· The top ten includes only the world’s two largest economies (Indonesia and the United States), while one of the world’s poorest countries – The Gambia – ranks fourth.

· Morocco has the highest annual increase in donations in the world. These interviews were conducted after a devastating earthquake in the center of the country in September 2023.
