Kochi: Finding that from those who go to study abroad to settle down to those who go for work, they have started considering the climate, politics and immigration policy of their respective countries. This is in a study conducted by Norca Roots and Kozhikode IIM.

Earlier migration was only looking for job opportunities. Even this has changed with the new generation. Canada, Australia and European countries are favorite places in the health sector. The reason for this is that due to the increase in the number of elderly people in these countries, there is an increased demand for health professionals.

UAE, Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Qatar etc. are some of the countries with the highest employment potential in the future. The job opportunities are spread across sectors like construction, education, IT, health, tourism and finance.

There are more opportunities in IT in countries like US, Canada, Australia Singapore and Germany. Among the engineering and construction sectors are UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Education in UAE, Canada, Australia, UK UAE, Singapore and Australia in the service and tourism sectors. In the finance sector, the UAE, Canada and Australia mark the growing opportunities by country.

Along with the Gulf, Norway also offers opportunities in the oil and gas industry.

Norka Roots Director and CEO said that the shape and form of migration is changing with time. K. Harikrishnan Namboothiri said. Expatriate Malayalis from 182 countries are registered in NORCA. According to the latest Kerala migration survey, the number of overseas Malayalis is 35 lakh.
