Tickets for Oasis concerts in the summer of 2025 were released today.
One of those who got hold of tickets was Glenn Magnusson, 58, from Gothenburg.
– It took ten minutes in the queue before I arrived, he says.
”Glenn, You’re In!”
Glenn Magnusson, 58, from Gothenburg was met with that message when he got through the queue and managed to snag a ticket to Oasis’ comeback tour in the summer of 2025.
– We’ll see if they stay together until then, he says jokingly about the gig.
During the comeback tour, the band will perform 17 gigs in the UK and Ireland. At 10.00 on Saturday morning the tickets were released. Several sites crashed and many had difficulty getting tickets.
But Glenn Magnusson managed to buy two for the gig in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 9.
– It’s me and the lady doing the work, so it will be great, he says.
He went to Ticketmaster’s UK website. And there everything went very quickly, he explains.
– I took the via .uk and it was very simple. I did the same thing at U2’s gig last year, that was .ushe says.
– It took ten minutes in the queue before I arrived.
There were two standing tickets for 151 pounds each, corresponding to approximately 2,000 sek. In connection with that, he also booked a hotel, which was also not very cheap.
– It will be full. It feels like shit.
He listened to a lot of Oasis as a youngster and appreciated their cocky appearance.
– The first record when they already said they were the world’s best band was pretty cool. Since then, interest has been low when they argued so much.
Argument or not, Glenn Magnusson is convinced that there will be gigs.
– I think it will be a concert. There is a history of them arguing and shitting about everything, but I don’t think they will. That’s too much money to say no to.
The British rock group split in 2009 in dramatic fashion. After the split, two of the group members also have brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher quarreled in public several times. Last week it was announced that a comeback tour will take place.
