Some time ago, Glenn Fredly’s grave caught fire. Some of the grass on the grave of the singer who sang the song Kasih Putih was burned by the fire. The incident was caused by pilgrims who brought candles to the grave.

The wife of the late Glenn Fredly, Mutia Ayu felt upset when she heard the unpleasant news. “I want the grave to remain neat. When pilgrims come, it’s nice too, there’s some annoyance but never mind,” said Mutia Ayu on a private television talk show, Wednesday (21/08).

Mutia Ayu received news about the fire from the cemetery guard. Mutia was shocked when the cemetery guard sent a photo of the condition of the burned grave.

“Actually, I was very diligent in communicating with the person who likes to clean up Glenn’s grave. Suddenly he sent a photo that Glenn’s grave was slightly burned,” said Mutia Ayu.

As a result of this incident, Mutia Ayu gave a message to pilgrims that they no longer need to bring or light candles when visiting her husband’s grave. She wrote the message on her Instagram story page.

“I ask for your help, whoever is visiting Glenn’s grave, don’t light candles or anything like that. First, it damages Glenn’s grave. Second, what is the point of burning it?” wrote Mutia Ayu on her Insta Story some time ago.

Mutia wants this incident not to happen again. She always pays attention to her husband’s grave. In addition to visiting often, she also communicates with the cemetery guard to keep her husband’s grave clean.

Glenn Fredly died on April 8, 2020, due to meningitis. Glenn was buried in the Tanah Kusir public cemetery, Jakarta. (Z-3)
