The big screen awards have already been handed out this year, and now it’s time to reward the creators of the best TV shows. And we, in turn, will appreciate the most successful dresses that appeared on the muted red carpet. The Emma statuettes were first given out in 1949 and a lot has changed since then. Today, we don’t just switch TV channels, we search streaming platforms. And they became the main source of successful pictures.
The Shogun collected the most statuettes
The best comedy act was the series from the HBO Max workshop Still in the Course, which came out with a third series this year. In it, Jean Smart plays a legendary comedian who mentors an aspiring screenwriter. It still beat last year’s winner Medvěd, but he still collected eleven prizes. The restaurant series from the production company FX can be seen on Disney+. By the way Bear this year, with the number of twenty-three nominations, he broke an absolute record.
In the drama category, another work from FX won, namely a historical one Shogun from the environment of Japan (Disney+), who took home eighteen statuettes. Its creator, screenwriter and actor in one person, Richard Gadd, was also awarded – he was based on his own experiences with stalking.
Silver dominated the red carpet

This year’s Emmys gave the impression that there was a secret dress code given to a certain section of the stars, and it said “come in a metallic dress.” Jennifer Aniston, Bridgerton series star Nicola Coughlan, “Agent Scully” Gillian Anderson or Catherine O’Hara, who left Kevin alone at home almost thirty-five years ago, arrived in silver dresses.
Another color that scored points was pastel pink, Meryl Streep also wore it. She put on her favorite pantsuit and it was obvious that she felt great in it. Singer Rita Ora and actress Eiza González came to the award ceremony in very similar dresses. Both chose models from the designer Tamara Ralph, and in addition to the color and cut, they were also united by the feather bedspread.
Dramatic black was also successful. She was bested by singer and actress Selena Gomez, who was nominated for her performance in the series Just Murder in the Building (Disney+). The velvet dress with a neckline lined with stones fitted perfectly and accentuated her silhouette. Reese Witherspoon wore a black flowered dress from Dior, and her colleague Laura Dern, whom she met years ago in the series Seventeen (HBO Max), came in the same color.
Those who couldn’t choose between silver, pink and black bet on red. The actress Sofía Vergara came in a sexy model with a deep neckline, and the award-winning Japanese actress Anna Sawai or Gillian Jacobs from Medvěd also wore the same color. She wore a long skirt and corset top set by designer Roland Mouret, and it’s a shame that the corset didn’t fit her the way it should have.
