On September 27, 2024, an unprecedented event will be held in our city and in particular at the “Paolo Poli” stadium: starting at 8:00 pm, the Italian National Artists TV will face the Old Glories of Footballnot only local but also national in the “Match for Peace”.
The majority of participants, including artists and old glories, are still top secret or in the process of being defined but the first names are already starting to leak out: among the artists, Assane Diop, famous face of Zelig, Marco Milano alias “Mandi Mandi” historic face of ‘Mai Dire Gol’, Simone Barbato, actor, mime and opera singer; Andrea Tacconi, son of the former Juventus champion, Stefano Tacconi.
Among sportsmen, the names of Pietro Maiellaro, former flag of Bari but with a past also with the shirts of, among others, Fiorentina, Venezia and Palermo, are circulating; Gerson, former footballer of Palmeiras, Bari, Fenerbahçe and Lecce; Michele Gelsi, former flag of Pescara and father of the former Sparlotto Alessandro Gelsi; Daniele De Vezze, former of Roma, Genoa, Bari and Torino.
And these are just some of the protagonists, who will delight the public that will flock to the “Match of Peace”. Other novelties and surprises will be planned during the event.
Very important aspect: the proceeds of the evening will be donated to the “Don Tonino Bello” foundation of Alessano (Le), birthplace of the historic Bishop of the Diocese of Molfetta-Ruvo-Giovinazzo and Terlizzi from which the Foundation takes its name, to support social causes of great importance.
