From legendary director Ridley Scott comes Gladiator 2, the continuation of the epic saga of power, intrigue and revenge that takes place in ancient Rome.
Lucius (Paul Mescal) witnessed the death of Maximus at the hands of his uncle Commodus as a child. Now he decides to fight in the Colosseum as a gladiator to oppose the two emperors who rule Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and hope for a brighter future for the Empire, Lucius must look to the past to find the strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to his people.
The screenplay is written by David Scarpa, who also wrote Scott’s other films, “Napoleon” and “All the Money in the World.” Ridley Scott also produces the picture along with Doug Wick (“Gladiator”), Lucy Fisher (“The Great Gatsby”), Laurie McDonald (“The Trial of the Chicago Seven”) and Walter F. Parkes (“Men in Black. International”).
The Polish premiere will take place on November 15, 2024.
