Up to this point, I think we were able to accomplish what we set out to do, but it wasn’t enough.

Scraper: We enjoy judging everything by watching it from the stands or in front of the TV. We can give theories, but there is frustration on the pitch. Tomek has his own character. It wasn’t nice for him and it wasn’t nice for us, it’s a reflex. He doesn’t want to whitewash us with his statements. Our most important task is to use these two weeks well. This break is falling from the sky. We have to approach it the same way as if we lost 0-1 following a good match. You have to reject bad thoughts.

Scraper: I also remember winning here. Today things turned out badly for us and we are not laughing.
Question: was this a special match for you? You were a candidate for the coach of GKS Katowice last year.
Scraper: No, it had no effect. Of course I had conversations, because it’s not a secret, because you know everything. I talked not only with Katowice.

Górak: I just congratulated the team on their great victory. It’s good that the team used the advantage of one player in a mature way. They coped with the advantage very confidently and bravely. This is definitely a big advantage, because as a coach I played many matches with a personnel deficit. It turns around very well. This confidence is also our strength, which gives us much-needed points. We need to focus on this international break so that the team comes back well prepared for the match on the pitch in Sosnowiec. The hockey players will start the semi-finals soon, we keep our fingers crossed. On Saturday the girls fight. We always keep our fingers crossed for Grzesiek’s team. Górak: The team hasn’t really changed dramatically in terms of people. Kuusk, a valuable player, joined us. We are in the same group. We devoted a lot of time to defensive activities during this period. This is working for now. One would like to talk regarding the season, regarding the whole thing. For now, I am satisfied because the improvement is visible.
Question: Was Kuusk the missing piece of the puzzle?
Górak: Bartek, when he came from Jastrzębie, did not come to this position, but we immediately thought regarding it with him. We needed Marten when it comes to the number of central defenders and training conditions, and he does his job here. A very important role of the director in this transfer, completely successful.
Question: I guess you can say today that it was good that Jędrych missed the penalty?
Górak: Yes, 100 percent planned. It would be nice if that were the case, but the reality is that it ended well.
Question: Is a penalty error a penalty?
Górak: He had it somewhere in his head, that Raków guy. We joked regarding this in the locker room sometimes.
Question: Kuusk taken off to rest a bit before the clash with Robert Lewandowski?
Górak: I wish him a successful performance, just like Kozubal, who represent their countries. I wish him the best possible performance, but I also wish all the best to the Polish national team.
Question: Jędrych had some strange losses. Was it annoying?
Górak: The pitch had undergone a lot of treatments and there was a lot of sand. Those players who are tall have a difficult task.

Górak: I try not to go back to what was. You can make analogies, but I don’t want to go back to that. We can’t go back to that, we have to do our job. They are always there, players who have played a lot can regenerate a little. We have a control game planned. For me this is not a problem. The break is for all teams.

Górak: I follow it, I know this league very well. I’ve been in it for a long time. I realize what problems different teams have. The thing regarding sports competition is that you always remember something. In Sosnowiec, we lost the opening match. Recently we had big problems on Bukowa. There is always extra adrenaline in such matches. We are looking forward to. We are happy and waiting for this match.
Question: we have mid-March, but the play-offs will be late. Do you plan players for promotion?
Górak: Everyone can be calm. We work so efficiently that we will be ready for any possibilities. This is no longer a matter of Górak or his staff, but of broader strategic thinking. I’m sure everyone was watching this round and seeing how it was crystallizing. We will be ready for the next match and every subsequent match. We work consistently and patiently. Sometimes these stages are invisible, you need a lot of patience. What’s next? I don’t know, but when it comes to planning, I am prepared for any solution.
Question regarding Marc. He returned to the squad. Did the coach expect such a breakthrough?
Górak: He is one of those players whose potential is much greater than what he shows on the pitch. Shooting, dribbling – he has good skills and I was waiting for them. He is a player who needs to be guided patiently. I am very happy that Mateusz is doing well. He is a very secretive player, he keeps a lot to himself. I’m glad he’s doing well this round. We are waiting for more good performances. He must constantly show that he is valuable.

Górak: We will present the plan to the public tomorrow. There will be a sparring match with Podbeskidzie on Friday.
