A flagship tech and start-up event for African technology and the meeting space for transformative technologies, Gitex Africa returns for a second edition in Marrakech, from May 29 to 31, 2024.
Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, under the authority of the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Gitex Africa will be hosted by the Digital Development Agency (ADD).
The second edition of Gitex Africa Morocco will welcome exhibitors who have chosen to return to Gitex Africa Morocco after a successful participation in the historic first edition of the event in 2023. Large multinational groups such as Epson, Honeywell, Kaspersky and Lexar are among those returning for a second session of strategic collaborations, propelling investor competitiveness in Africa.
This event will enable discussions around significant technological advancements in various sectors, including cloud, IoT, cybersecurity, e-health, finance, consumer technologies, telecommunications and artificial intelligence, and will also generate enthusiasm and widespread interest in the appropriate use of these innovations.
Ghita Mezzour, Moroccan Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, recently met the organizers of the event in Morocco. This meeting was an opportunity to observe the accelerated dynamics experienced by the construction of this large site which will be specially set up to meet the growing demand from exhibitors on a global scale.
“The success of the 1st edition of GITEX Africa Morocco underlines the desire of our continent for the development of Morocco’s digital transition and its commitment to strengthening South-South cooperation in the digital field, as well as its contribution to international promotion of the African continent in accordance with the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI”, she declared, before adding:
“Our ambitions are growing as we prepare for the 2nd edition in the beautiful city of Marrakech. We look forward to making GITEX Africa Morocco an even more remarkable event with diverse and influential technological representation, both continent-wide and internationally.”.
GITEX Africa Morocco is organized by KAOUN International, the international subsidiary of Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), which organizes GITEX GLOBAL in the United Arab Emirates, the largest and most renowned technology and entrepreneurial event in the world.
The expansion of Africa’s most powerful technological showcase is amplified by the launch, under the aegis of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Digital Development Agency, World Future Health Africa, planned as part of Gitex Africa Morocco to accelerate the e-health revolution.
