The team, which consists of 80 percent of university undergraduates, designed, manufactured and tested a special control unit for electric power steering, a mechatronic unit for changing the position of the “mechanics” selector, electric and pneumatic actuators for working with pedals.

Currently, the prototype is at the 2nd or 3rd level of autonomy. While specialist supervision is required. Machine systems do not receive information that they are not piloted by a person. The impact on the controls is completely identical.

First field trials of a robotic Lada Granta took place at the training ground of the Gorky Automobile Plant in Nizhny Novgorod. In the near future, the developers plan to sign a cooperation agreement with AvtoVAZ.
