Domestic experts analyzed how the price of spare parts for different models of the AvtoVAZ concern changed in the directories of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers. Ultimately, the experts came to the conclusion that since March 2022, their cost has increased by up to 180%, and one of the reasons for this abnormal price increase is the shortage of components and materials that are required for the production of spare parts.
In particular, experts noted that the average prices for block headlights LADA were at the level of 7.5 thousand rubles, while by December they increased by 71%, reaching almost 13 thousand. Another example was the cost of the rear left door, prices for which rose from 11 thousand to 20 thousand. According to experts, the biggest increase took place in October, when insurers noticed the depletion of spare parts in warehouses. Thus, the headlight assembly showed the largest price increase for the period from October to December – from 3,776 rubles to 10,684, which amounted to a fabulous 183%.
PCA is convinced that the cost of components directly depends on how high the demand for them is during repairs, which is the reason for the rapid increase in the cost of, for example, rear left doors that have been replaced over 1000 times. AvtoVAZ got acquainted with the results of the corresponding study, but the representatives of the concern could not confirm the correctness of the results obtained by the specialists.
