The jostling of a supporter from the South bend and the stoppage of the match in the 23rd minute had spoiled the party. Nearly two and a half months later, the Girondins are preparing to return to their lawn. In reality, they have already walked on it on Sunday, for the set-up.
Reinforced controls
They did not notice any major changes. In front of the South bend, there are no nets to avoid the throwing of projectiles, nor raised grids. The club has nevertheless informed “L’Équipe Magazine” that the security of the stand has been audited, that certain controls will be reinforced (as well as the barrier between different areas of the stand) and that the presence of supporters on the field when the players arrive will no longer be possible.
This Monday, as once morest Amiens on August 26, the turn will be completely closed anyway. The Ultramarines will be at the top of the West Stand. More than 20,000 spectators are expected in the stands, in line with last season (20,711 on average), when the Girondins finished best team at home.
Invincibility objective
“We can’t wait to get back to our stadium,” says Yoann Barbet. We only had two defeats before the last match, the objective will be to do better. Our Matmut must be a fortress. We will give everything to be undefeated this season. Opponents have to feel that it’s going to be complicated.
