Giro d’Italia: Richard Carapaz defends the pink jersey despite a fall – Giulio Ciccone wins stage 15

Jai Hindley (Bora-hansgrohe) remains second overall. The Australian is seven seconds behind Richard Carapaz ahead of the third day of rest.

After the very offensive driving style on Saturday on the way to Turin, with which Bora was able to blast the entire group of favorites, the German team held back on Sunday. Instead, Bora let Ineos take the lead.

The group with the pink jersey finished 7:48 minutes behind the day’s winner Giulio Ciccone, who was overwhelmed by emotions after crossing the finish line in Cogne.
