A swimming accident in the Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg (Oberpullendorf district) cost the life of a five-year-old girl. According to police reports, the child jumped into the so-called torrent pool in an unsupervised moment on Saturday followingnoon. According to the Burgenland State Police Directorate, the incident in the Sonnentherme occurred on Saturday between 12.15 and 12.45 p.m. A bather became aware of the lifeless floating child and pulled it out of the water. Resuscitation measures were carried out, and the rescue chain was also set in motion.
