MORE than 5 months since their last release entitled Heals, indie pop/dream pop band Girl and Her Bad Mood have released their latest work entitled Loves Hates Loves.
As stated in the title, this song tells another side or angle in a romantic relationship, namely the point of saturation, monotony and contradictions in the interaction between two human beings.
In the midst of many songs that describe the perfection of romance, Loves Hates Loves dares to explore another perspective on a relationship by depicting the rollercoaster of emotions that many people experience when navigating the complexities of love in the digital era.
Combining light and catchy lyrics and melody, this song invites listeners to accept that love is like two sides of a coin. It can make you fly and be carried away, but on the other hand, love can also feel boring and frustrating.
The lyrics themselves were written by Bima Geraldi, who got a lot of inspiration when sharing stories with friends who were experiencing a lot of stagnation in their relationships.
“I have heard a lot of stories from friends around me and in my own experience it is also quite relatable to this concern. “Finally, I wrote the lyrics for this song because I felt that this theme was rarely approached by people, even though it was probably experienced by almost all couples,” said the musician who plays as a guitarist and vocalist.

“Even though we each have our own busy schedules and are even apart from each other, we value the commitments made as a group and respect each other’s schedules. “But we still set the right time so that the project timeline remains safe,” said GAHBM regarding tips for remaining productive.
It is hoped that Loves Hates Loves will be enjoyed by listeners, whether they are experiencing the situation depicted in the song or those whose story is fine.
“Love is not always bright and colorful. Sometimes it’s chaotic, sometimes it’s boring, and sometimes it’s confusing. And that’s okay. “‘Loves Hates Loves’ celebrates the messy and imperfect nature of love,” concluded GAHBM. (RO/Z-1)
