By committing alongside the organizers of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games, the world-renowned Italian designer, Giorgio Armani, confirms the interest shown in transalpine sport via the equipment supplier EA7 Emporio Armani.
ANDofficial supplier of the Italian team since the London 2012 Summer Games, EA7 Emporio Armani will be present once more at the next edition of the Winter Games scheduled for the North of the peninsula in 2026.
The partnership signed this week between the founder, Giorgio Armani, and the Organizing Committee of the Games provides for the making and supplying, among other things, of ceremonial uniforms for the Italian delegation, as well as uniforms for volunteers.
Welcoming this major agreement, the President of Milan-Cortina 2026, Giovanni Malago, said in particular:
For years, first through the National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the Italian team, and now also with this important partnership with the Organizing Committee of the Games, Giorgio Armani participates, with a passion intense, to the history of blue sport and its victories.
His presence and his friendship bear witness to a commitment that goes beyond competitions and speaks to the world of our creativity, our style, our excellence, including sporting excellence, with an extraordinarily strong voice.
For this reason, the association between the Games and Armani makes us particularly proud, as well as confident in the success of our wonderful adventure..
In the past, Giorgio Armani participated in the 2006 Turin Games, where he was in charge of dressing 26 Olympic medalists who were asked to accompany the entry of the tricolor flag carried by the former model, Carla Bruni, herself dressed for the occasion of a long silver dress as an evocation of ice cream.
More recently, and in addition to the multiple partnerships carried out in the sports context, the designer dressed the Milan-Cortina 2026 delegation in June 2019 for the final presentation of the candidacy before the members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) before their vote on the awarding of the Games.
