Gigi Hadid undergoes therapy as she grapples with fame.
The 27-year-old model has a daughter, two-year-old Khai Hadid Malik, with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, 30, and says the little girl keeps her feet on the ground , but admitted she struggled with the spotlight and the way the world sees her.
The fact that she is in therapy, like her model sister Bella Hadid, 26, was reported in an interview with the March issue of Elle magazine in which Gigi opened up about life with her daughter and the time spent under the projectors.
She said of Khai, “She obviously sees me in every way and every way, and whether she knows it or not, I’m going through and learning life with her. I think she has a very realistic view of life, 24/7. We argue in the middle of the night if she’s up; we talk about random things, I don’t know, but it’s fun. Having a daughter, while it changed my life and made me want to feel more stable, also made me appreciate the chaos. Being at shows and filming and just being in town again; being surrounded by friends (after) becoming a mum, with everyone also coming out of Covid – I have an appreciation for both sides of it. »
