Gigabyte’s GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC gets flashed

The GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC has found its way to a store in Hong Kong. The beauty has been purchased and its owner publishes some pictures.

Nvidia probably won’t like it, but photos of a “customized” version of Gigabyte’s GeForce RTX 4090 have just appeared on the web. The exact reference is the GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC.

This leak is amazing because someone managed to buy a GeForce RTX 4090 from Gigabyte more than two weeks before its official release date. It is rare to see such a sale but it confirms that the partners already have stock.

It is important to underline that unfortunately this solution is not exploitable. Why ? Nvidia does not yet offer compatible graphics drivers to exploit it. As a result, the specialized press, enthusiasts or even first-time buyers cannot test it. These highly anticipated pilots will be made public on October 12, the card’s marketing date. The press should however recover them by the end of the week.

This RTX 4090 comes with a Y-adapter to power it with four 8-pin PCIe. The card is equipped with the new 16-pin connector. It embeds an Ada Lovelace GPU from TSMC’s 4N engraving process. This AD102 offers 16,384 CUDA cores and comes with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory.

The price of this model is not known but we should be above US$1599.
