The last ski race for women is on Sunday. The women’s giant slalom takes place at the World Cup final in Soldeu (Andorra). The thing is clear: Lara Gut-Behrami wants to triumph once more at the end of the season.
However, the Swiss ski star, who picked up the small crystal ball in the Super-G, was unlucky. During her run, Gut-Behrami got stuck on a gate and subsequently lost her stick. As a result, she lost a lot of time. After the first run, the Ticino is in 6th place.
Mikaela Shiffrin leads
But what is already clear – and that although the race is still running: After the failures of Petra Vlhova and Federica Brignone, Gut-Behrami has already secured 2nd place in the overall World Cup behind Mikaela Shiffrin.
Speaking of Shiffrin: The superstar is currently leading the race, followed by Valerie Grenier and Marta Bassino behind the American. Wendy Holdener disappointed and is currently thirteenth. But she is optimistic regarding SRF: “I have a good plan for the second run.”
