Giannis Antetokounmpo thought about quitting basketball

The Greek superstar revealed that in 2020, during the pandemic, he discussed the possibility of not continuing his career!

Giannis Antetokounmpo made a shocking revelation. The Greek superstar stated that three years ago, when the pandemic started, he felt that he wanted to stop playing basketball and put an end to his great career!

Giannis talked regarding his mental weakness and what he was told by the management of the “deers”, conversations that made him change his opinion.

In detail what he said to the “Milwaykee Journal-Sentinel”:

“I thought regarding giving up basketball. It was very intense. I felt like the journey was over. I was not mentally strong and I thought that maybe the end of my career had come. He went to management and I asked them to talk. I told them I’ve been thinking maybe I should quit.

We were playing in the “bubble” of Orlando, everyone was in agony, we mightn’t see our own people, we were playing in front of empty stands. Everything seemed pressing to me.

No way! You can’t stop, they told me. They didn’t believe it even though it was honest on their part and they didn’t believe it because they explained to me that “they haven’t seen anyone else love this game more”.
