Ghostwire: Tokyo Prelude will not be released on Xbox and remains a PS5/PS4 and PC exclusive | XboxOne

After a period of PlayStation exclusivity, Ghostwire: Tokyo lands on Xbox just over a year later. The exclusive contract with Sony is over, but not all initial content will necessarily be available on Xbox.

A prequel that will not be available on Xbox

Ghostwire: Tokyo will be available on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass on Wednesday, April 12. If you are subscribed to the service, you can already start downloading the game in advance.

A few weeks before its release last year on PlayStation, the Bethesda and Tango Gameworks teams released Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude, a free visual novel available on PS5, PS4 and PC.

By allowing people to experience the events that happened before GhostWire: Tokyo, through a different genre, created by a different team, it may help players better understand and interpret the world and universe that we created for the final game.

But once morest all expectations, Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude will not be available on Xbox. Without giving an explanation for this, the studio simply indicated that “Prelude will unfortunately not be available on Xbox. However, you can still play it for free on PC and PS5/PS4. »

The experience also allows you to replay the story to follow different paths and see new sides to the world of Ghostwire: Tokyo. It is also possible to resume the game where the prequel ends, but it will therefore not be available on Xbox.

If you have a PC, you can download this preamble from Steam or Steam.
