A DLC and even a sequel?

Barely following celebrating Golden Week through an update rolled out last week, Ghostwire : Tokyo is already back in the news. In effect, the game’s director, Kenji Kimura, saidduring an interview with IGN Japan, that he has other plans in mind for his action game. In effect, he not only evokes the desire to get out of a DLC but also that he was ready to offer a full-fledged sequel. Here is what he said:

I think when things calm down a little more, and when I’m a little more relaxed, I’ll have ideas for DLCs and sequels, and I want to make them happen. Nothing has been decided yet so I can’t tell you anything more than that.

An upcoming release on Xbox?

Ghostwire: Tokyo: Any further ideas?

Obviously, these remarks are to be taken with tweezers since the future of Ghostwire: Tokyo will depend on many elements beyond the control of Kenji Kimura. And all the more so if we recall that the game was published by Bethesda, and that the studio was acquired by Microsoft meanwhilein September 2020. We should also remember that the game has a temporary exclusivity on PS5 and PC for a period of 1 year.
All this strongly leads us to believe that the game will therefore be released on Xbox Series X / S by next year, in 2023.

All you have to do is take your troubles patiently or turn to the PS5 or PC version to explore the city of Tokyo, distorted by paranormal phenomena and frozen in time by the disappearance of its population.
