HARPERS FERRY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The top ghost hunt in the country is located right here in West Virginia, and not only is it spooky, but it takes guests back in time as well.
Ghost Tours of Harper’s Ferry has been voted the #1 ghost tour in America on TripAdvisor. The two-hour-long lantern-lit tour leads brave guests on a 19th-century attired ghost tour through the historic town of Harper’s Ferry in Jefferson County.
Tours are offered Monday through Saturday at 8 PM. They will also offer a 6 PM tour on Saturday, October 21st, and Saturday, October 28th.
Sunday tours will be available on October 8th at 8 PM, and the 22nd and 29th at 6 PM.
Reservations are required for tours, guests are asked to please call 304-725-8019 to make a reservation,
The price for the tour is $18 per adult and $14 for children aged 8-12. Children under the age of 8 are free. Only cash or check will be accepted when you arrive to check-in.
Tours meet and start at Saint Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Harper’s Ferry. Guests are asked to please arrive at Saint Peter’s at least 15 minutes before the tour begins.
Parking should be available at the train station on Potomac Street, or on Washington/High Street. Parking in town is free after 6 PM. There is no parking available at the church.
