Sony confirmed the PlayStation Showcase for next May 24 at 10:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time. The event will last just over an hour and will focus on PS5 and PlayStation VR2 games with news from PlayStation Studios, from publishers third party and independent creators. Players have begun to speculate on the list of projects that would be announced, but it seems that there is one from Sony that will not be there: Ghost of Tsushima 2. Neither will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf by BioWare.

The information appears in the last video of the insider Jeff Grubb, dedicated among other topics to the PlayStation Showcase. In it, Mike Minotti comments that the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima might appear between the announcements, since Sucker Punch released the title in 2020 and the sequel should be far enough along to show a teaser. At this point Grubb agrees, but later in the conversation and probably following receiving information from one of his sources, he clarifies that “It does not seem that Ghost of Tsushima 2 be there”, and neither is the new RPG of Dragon Age.

Grubb has been reliable regarding the information in the ShowcaseIn fact, he was the first to mention that it would be held before the Summer Game Fest and that Sony would take advantage of it to present the new wave of console games, with the next releases from studios that have not yet revealed their projects.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the safe bet

During the broadcast we should see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2scheduled for autumn, which is the next known PlayStation Studios game. Other titles with a high chance of appearing for the first time are The Last of Us Onlinethe rumored Twisted Metal and maybe Marvel’s Wolverine. There are more projects like the new Santa Monica Studio, the multiplayer Horizon and XDev productions, including Rise of the Ronin the Team Ninja.
