Ghana sends reinforcements north after attack near border with Burkina Faso


Ghana has announced the dispatch of 1,000 troops to Bawku in the northeast following an immigration officer was killed and two others injured in an attack near the border with Burkina Faso. The Bawku region is weakened by a conflict of community chiefdoms which often degenerates into violence, in addition to being threatened by an extension of jihadist abuses which bloody the neighboring country.
