Due to health problems, Justin Bieber had to postpone several concert dates of his “Justice World Tour” in North America this week. A few days ago, the 28-year-old pop star announced this via social media. Visibly frustrated, he wrote in his Instagram story: “I can’t believe I’m saying that. I have done everything to get well, but my illness is getting worse and worse.” It breaks his heart not being able to play the shows.

On Friday evening he spoke to his fans once more in a video on Insta: “As you can see from my face, I suffer from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome,” said the Canadian musician. Paralysis on his face can be seen in the footage.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a rare neurological disorder. In the nearly three-minute video, Bieber further explains, “It’s a virus that’s attacking the nerve in my ear – my facial nerves – and has caused paralysis in my face.” The singer is unable to move the right side of his face while smiling and blinking on the left side.

Ten more months touring

Justin Bieber has been on the Justice World Tour since February. The world tour should have started in spring 2020, but was postponed twice due to the corona pandemic. A total of over 120 concert dates the singer play over the course of the tour, which will last until the end of March 2023. It is still unclear on which dates the postponed concerts will be added to the tight schedule.

Bieber should be back on stage early next week. However, the singer has not yet announced whether he will be better by then and whether the tour can continue as planned in New York.
