As we approach the first half of spring weather, it’s not particularly glorious, but it’s fairly standard to experience mixed periods at our latitudes. March was very wet and April isn’t great either, but we’re approaching 45 hours of sunshine in the first third of the month with a slight delay which should increase this week. From the 16th, it looks a little brighter with the approximation of high pressures and temperatures between 15 and 20°C depending on the cloudiness. Although it’s not the best spring weather we might hope for, we’re far from having a rotten spring.
As for the rest of the country, the improvement will already be back with beautiful periods of sunshine in the morning over Flanders, Hainaut, and Brabant, but there will be more cloudy filth over Liège and Luxembourg which will tear over the hours. In the second part of the morning, we expect the formation of sometimes numerous cumulus but which should not lead to showers while the sun will always be dominant at the sea.
In the followingnoon, there will be a slight instability and a possible local cloud between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. over a wide central strip of the country off the coast, but many will pass through with at worst a few minutes under a large cumulus. The weather will then be dry, with arrival of a rather opaque veil of cirrus clouds by the French border, certainly offering us a very beautiful sunset. Seasonal highs with 8 to 13°C under a moderate south-westerly wind (30-40 km/h). In the evening, a more consistent zone of rain is expected to arrive and water the whole country the following night.
Hello Pierre, indeed we are soon approaching the first half of spring weather and it is true that it is not glorious. However, it remains fairly standard to experience mixed periods at our latitudes and the last few years have made us somewhat lose the link with our climatic reality. March was very wet and April is not great but we are approaching 45 hours of sunshine in the first third of the month with a slight delay which should increase this week. However, it looks a little brighter from the 16th with finally the approximation of high pressures and temperatures between 15 and 20°C depending on the cloudiness. We are far from the rotten spring but it is true that we are entitled to hope for more beautiful days.
And on the rest of the country?
The improvement will already be back with beautiful periods of sunshine in the morning over Flanders, Hainaut, Brabants and more cloudy filth over Liège and Luxembourg which will tear over the hours. In the second part of the morning, we expect the formation of sometimes numerous cumulus but which should not go until the shower while the sun will always be dominant at the sea.
In the followingnoon, a slight instability and a possible local cloud between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. over a wide central strip of the country off the coast, but many will pass through with at worst a few minutes under a large cumulus. Seasonal highs with 8 to 13°C under a moderate south-westerly wind (30-40 km/h). In the evening, arrival of a more consistent zone of rain watering the whole country the following night.
In conclusion, while the first half of spring weather may not have been glorious, it remains fairly standard for our latitude. The last few years have made us lose touch with our climatic reality, but we can look forward to a brighter second half of the month with the approximation of high pressures and temperatures between 15 and 20°C. The rest of the country can expect beautiful periods of sunshine in the morning, with a slight instability and possible local cloud in the followingnoon. Overall, we can hope for more beautiful days ahead in this spring season.
